Rules and Information

House Rules

Occupancy
- Maximum Occupancy is eight (8) guests including children.
- The occupancy is capped due to the septic system size. Any additional guest and the system may be overloaded.
- We ask that paying guests do not invite more two than additional “day visitors,” with the understanding that the “day visitors” will not use the indoor showers (they can use the outdoor shower.)
- If we discover additional overnight guests, there will be a $400/ night charge for each additional guest over the maximum occupancy.
Quiet hours are from 10pm to 8am.
This is not a party house. Music and lively chatter are fine, but please keep the volume to a level that will not disturb our neighbors.
Nothing but toilet paper should be flushed down the toilets.
- Do not flush tampons, wipes, paper towels or hair.
- Even items, like tampons or wipes, that are sold as “flushable” should not be flushed.
- Disposal bags are provided in marked canisters next to each toilet for disposal of feminine products.
No food products should go down the kitchen sinks. A strainer is provided in the drains. The strainers can be emptied in trash cans.
Do not use the interior fireplaces.
Fireworks are not permitted. 
Smoking or vaping is not permitted in the house or on the decks or patios.
No pets are allowed.
We would prefer guests to remove their shoes at the front door, but this is not a requirement.
Do not leave kayaks, paddle boards, life preservers, or any unsecured floats on the dock overnight.
Do not leave any items on dock during storms. Even small rainstorms produce wind gusts in the cove that will blow anything unsecured off the dock. (Including furniture)

Check out

Please do not make the beds you have slept in. No need to strip.
Leave towels on towel bars or on Tile bathroom floors
Take kitchen garbage to the exterior trash bin.
Put down the umbrella on the deck.
Turn off the lights.
Start dishwasher before leaving.
Put away all exterior lake toys.
If you have used the fire pit, please empty ashes into a plastic bag and place in outside garbage bin. (a shovel is on the wood pile)
Check out time is 10:00. The lock codes will be changed at this time unless we are notified.

General Information & Rules

Lake Access

The property is open to the lake. It is assumed that all guests understand this and proceed with caution around the lake.
All guests enter the water at their own risk.
Children should always be under parental supervision.
Some life jackets (Personal Flotation Device’s (PDF’s)) are provided in the Exterior Storage Room, but it is not our intent to provide a PDF for each guest.
Guests will need to provide PDF’s for their children.
Many various Lake toys are provided, including foam noodles, inflatable tubes, and floating seats. Lake toys are not approved personal flotation devices.

Firepit

The fire pit should stay in the center of the sand strip at the beach.
Firewood and an ash shovel are provided in the rack by the parking area.
When building a fire, someone should attend the fire at all times.
After each fire, please make sure the fire is completely extinguished prior to leaving it unattended.
Prior to leaving, please clean out any remaining logs and ash.
Place cooled ash in a black trash bag and throw it out in exterior garbage bin.

Kayaks/ Lake Toys

Please do not leave kayaks, paddle boards, life preservers, or any unsecured floats on the dock overnight.
Tie off kayaks, paddle boards and floats when not in use.
A good gust of wind can blow items, even chairs into the lake!
Kayaks, paddle boards, and life preservers can be left on the lower lake patio or under the deck during your stay.
Tandem kayak is an expensive lightweight kayak that should be handled with care. Children should not be handling this kayak.
Inflatable tubes should be secured when not in use, so they don’t blow away.
Please return all items to the exterior storage room before leaving. (See photos on VRBO website for storage locations if you do not remember.)

Dock

Do not dive off the dock.
Do not swim under the dock.
The dock can get hot on your feet so take appropriate precautions!
Please do not board the owner's boat in the slip or use the boat lift.
The dock can be used if a guest brings their own boat or if a guest rents a boat.

Boat access and ramp

There is a boat access driveway and ramp that is available for guests.
Guests will need to tell us upfront if they will be bringing a boat.
The boat access ramp should be used at guests’ own risk.

Exterior Furniture

Guests are welcome to move exterior furniture. Please don’t keep aluminum chairs and lounges on the dock during storms. Return to original location before check out.
